3

Start learning

The student meets their teacher, covers a real lesson, and settles into a fixed weekly rhythm. Keep them, or ask for a different match.

What a Typical Lesson Looks Like

Every lesson opens with a quick revision of last week’s work, so nothing slips between sessions. Next the student reads the new portion aloud while the teacher listens closely and guides each sound. Near the end, the teacher sets one small, clear target for next time and writes it down.

For a young child, that might be three new lines of Qaida. For a memorization student, half a page to learn and two pages to revise. Parents are welcome to sit in on any lesson, and younger children often settle faster with a parent nearby for the first few weeks.

Meet the Teachers You Could Learn With

Our teachers hold formal ijazah, the traditional certification that licenses a reciter to teach and passes down through a named chain of teachers.

Why Al Hasan

Why Muslim Families Choose Al Hasan

Plenty of academies promise certified teachers and a flexible schedule. Here is what stands behind those words.

One teacher who stays

Your child keeps the same teacher week after week, never a rotating pool. That continuity turns a nervous beginner into a confident reader.

Every ijazah checked

We verify each teacher’s certification and chain of transmission ourselves. They recite for our senior instructors before we book a single student.

Monthly progress report

You receive a short written report on what the student covered, what improved, and what comes next. No guessing whether fees buy progress.

Classes that bend to your week

Pick a slot in your own time zone, early morning in Toronto or late evening in Dubai. Miss one for a valid reason and we arrange a makeup.

Fees that stay affordable

Billed monthly, with no registration fee and no long-term contract. You pay for the classes you book and stop whenever you choose.

Simple to join

Any device with a camera works. Your teacher joins over a video link we send, so there is nothing to install and nothing to buy.

In their words

What Muslim Families and Students Say

We tried four different online academies before Al Hasan. My seven-year-old used to cry before every class. Now she asks when her next lesson is. Her teacher turns the Qaida into a game, and five months in she reads short surahs on her own.

I embraced Islam three years ago and still could not read the Quran. My teacher started me at the alphabet with no judgment, one to one, so no class of strangers watched me stumble. Eight months later I finished the Qaida and read my first full page.

Finding a qualified female teacher for my daughter felt impossible, until Al Hasan matched us in a day. Her Ustadha is an Al-Azhar graduate, patient and warm. My daughter’s Tajweed has come further in three months than in two years at our weekend class.

Female Teachers for Sisters and Daughters

Many families prefer a woman to teach the women and girls of the household, and we plan for that from the first match, across every course, from a first Qaida lesson to an adult sister returning to the Quran.

Questions

Common Questions About Our Online Quran Classes

How do online Quran classes work?+
Each class is a live, interactive video session between one student and one teacher. You log in at your scheduled time, open the same page your teacher sees, and recite while they correct you on the spot. Sessions usually run 30 to 45 minutes, several times a week.
What do I need to join a class?+
Just a device with a camera and a stable internet connection, so a phone, tablet, or laptop all work. Your teacher joins over a video link we send you, so there is no software to buy. A quiet corner and a copy of the Quran or Qaida, printed or on-screen, complete the setup.
What age can a child start Quran classes?+
Most children begin between ages four and six, once they can sit for a short session and repeat sounds back. There is no upper limit either. We teach teenagers, working adults, and retired grandparents. Each teacher adjusts the pace and lesson length to the age of the student.
Can an adult start from zero?+
Yes, and many of our adult students do. Your teacher begins at the very first letter with no assumption of prior knowledge, and no class full of strangers watching. Plenty of parents learn alongside their children, taking their own slot each week and progressing at an adult pace.
How many classes a week should I take?+
Two to five classes a week suits most students, depending on the goal. Two weekly sessions keep a busy adult moving steadily. Four or five suit a child building fluency or a student on a Hifz plan. You choose the number during your trial and change it whenever you need.
How much do the classes cost?+
We bill fees monthly, and they depend on how many classes a week you book. A light two-class plan costs less than a daily Hifz schedule. There is no registration fee and no long-term contract. Your teacher walks you through the current, affordable plans during the free trial.
What is included in the free 7-day trial?+
Your free 7-day trial gives you real classes with a real teacher, never a sales call or a recording. You meet your matched teacher, cover an actual lesson, and see how the one-on-one format fits your family. We ask for no payment details to start.
Which course should I start with?+
Start with the course that matches your reading level. Complete beginners of any age begin with Noorani Qaida, the foundation for reading Arabic letters and sounds. Readers who know the letters move into Tajweed or memorization. Unsure? Your trial teacher assesses your level and points you to the right start.
